Peter Yorgin, MD
Dr Peter Yorgin is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics (Nephrology) at Loma Linda University in Southern California. Dr. Yorgin received his Pediatric Nephrology fellowship training at the University of Minnesota (1987-1988) and Stanford University (1988-1990). He was an Assistant Professor at Stanford University (1990-1992, 1999-2005), where he was awarded the Teacher of the Year award (2005), and Section Chief of Pediatric Nephrology at University of Arizona (1992-1998). He introduced concurrent CRRT with plasmapheresis to Stanford University for the management of children with fulminant hepatic failure and recently developed and utilized a technique for the rapid exchange of CRRT circuits so that the time without CRRT is very brief.
