| Hamid Rabb, MD Professor & Vice Chairman Department of Medicine Medical Director, Kidney Transplant Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Baltimore, MD USA Dr. Rabb completed his MD at McGill University, residency in internal medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and fellowship in nephrology/leukocyte biology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He has also trained in pulmonary mechanics and immunology at McGill University. Dr. Rabb is currently Associate Professor of Medicine and Physician Director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
His laboratory research is on the immunologic mechanisms of kidney ischemia reperfusion injury, as well deleterious links between lung and kidney during acute renal failure. His clinical research is on improvement of diagnosis and therapy of acute renal failure in native kidneys and transplants. His research is currently supported by the NIDDK, NHLBI and NKF. |
