| Lei-shi Li, MD, FHKCP Research Institute of Nephrology Nanjing University, School of Medicine Nanjing, China Acknowledged as a world known and distinguished nephrologist in China. Had been the Councilor of International Society of nephrology (ISN) and Asian Pacific Society of nephrology (APSN) for many years, he was one of the founder of Chinese Society of Nephrology, having made contributions in virtually every aspect of the development of modern Nephrology in China. He has been the author of 13 books and over 400 published papers, with major contributions covering a range of nephrologic topics particularly the study of Chinese herbs in treating glomerular diseases diabetic nephropathy and CRF, for which he was honored with the National Science and Technology Progress Award of China for 6 times. He has devoted to the practice and training program of CRRT in China in the past 10 years. He has been recently elected as member of the presidium of Chinese Academy of Science and Engineering since 1994, a highest academic title and honor of life tenure in China. |
