Dong Zhou, MD PhD Farmington, CT USA Dr. Zhou is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at UConn Health. His research centers on defining the dynamic microenvironment of AKI across diverse insults and uncovering the mechanisms that determine whether the kidney undergoes successful repair or enters maladaptive pathways that drive fibrosis and progression to CKD. He integrates state-of-the-art multi-omics platforms and genetically engineered models to identify actionable pathways that could guide future therapeutic interventions.
